so that I know what method your character is using to try to contact him so that he can respond properly

[Crow doesn't like throwing things away if he can help it. Though it's likely he isn't going to use it like a normal person would because hello, we don't want to get pick-pocketed ourselves, so he'll stash it somewhere else. (Where does he put the money then? It's a mystery...)]

...Yeah--you're not bad to team up with, I guess.

[Though even with saying he guesses Firo is right, saying that you're "not bad" is practically a compliment coming from him. ^^;;]

[He moves to elbow Crow in the ribs, but, hey, he'll take it.]

Well, you know me, I'm a busy guy. [...] But if I don't have something better to do, then why not, teaming up again some other time can't hurt, especially if we get good stuff like this again.

Sounds good to me. But if you're afraid it'll cut into the time you block off to spend crying by yourself, I could always ask somebody else...

[He can't help but smirk.]

...And for your information, I've never cried, not once in my entire life. [How would you even know that for sure, Crow...] Besides it's not like I wanna cut into your time for knitting sweaters or whatever it is pretty boys like you pretend to do to get people to like you... [Just what does he think Firo does with his time when he's not hanging out on the streets either?]

[He opens his mouth for a joking retort, but it snaps shut when he fully registers what Crow said. Saying he knits is one thing, but did Crow really just use the p word?

All amusement gone, he steps forward until he's well into Crow's personal bubble space.]

[...Wow what's with that attitude and what are you doing in our personal space. But he doesn't step back to re-establish personal space just yet, standing his ground.]

[Firo thinks it's a perfectly reasonable thing to be offended by. Actually, this is a pretty tame reaction for him.]

Why? [Seriously Firo, we've heard worse insults--probably said something worse at one point!] Are you gonna beat me up or something if I say that again?

[Considering he doesn't dislike Crow, Firo does wonder if he's overreacting a tad. But on the other hand, he's grown to think that anyone who'd talk about him that way needs to be taught a lesson.]

I'm thinkin' about it. And as for why, how's that your business? Is it that hard for you to just not be a jerk?

Of course it is--for all you know, I could drop dead if I was being too nice to someone for too long.

[Is he being sarcastic? Who even knows--] And maybe it is my business to know. You wouldn't want me to just use it more often as an insult that actually does get under your skin, right? [Like seriously if given a legit reason for why it bothers you, then he...well he might still call you that but it would be less frequently than if you're just overreacting to a petty insult.]

[He rolls his eyes, but does take a step back so he's imposing on Crow's space less.]

For all I know, if I told you why you'd just say it more often. I'm just sick of hearin' it, is that a problem for you?

[There's also the fact that he tends to equate being called a pretty boy with being called weak. At least they're not having this conversation when Firo had his real memories and a stronger reason for his dislike of the insult.]

[Crow rolls his eyes a little at that.]

I still think you're overreacting--I bet that's not even the worst thing I could've said, if I really wanted to. [Crow speak for "but he doesn't feel like doing so at the moment"...]

[But it does occur to him that he shouldn't have let Crow know how much that ruffles his feathers, so he decides to try and move on.]

[Firo doesn't cry, he just gets angry and threatens to hurt people. It's totally a healthier way of dealing with emotion.]

If anything draws attention to us, it's gonna be your annoyin' voice.

[Oh good, that means they both subscribe to the same completely healthy way of dealing with negative emotions.]

My voice is not annoying--if anyone's voice is annoying, it's yours right now that's whining and making a big deal outta this...

Yes you are--[For once, Crow actually notices the staring, which prompts him to wave a hand--both in a way to try to dismiss the conversation, and perhaps hopefully to get Firo to notice the other people nearby too.]

Whatever; I don't feel like wasting my time with this anymore, so just get over it already. I thought you had thicker skin than that, instead of getting worked up over something like this.
