[Hello Luceti, you are greeted today with...an upside-down view for this person's entry. At first it might seem like the person holding the book is holding it wrong, but it'll become quickly apparent that he is holding it the right way, it's him that's upside down, possibly hanging from a tree as he examines the journal.]

So this thing actually works, and you guys can see and hear me, right? [A slight shake of the book, as if to confirm it.] Geez, this makes some of the books at home seem lame by comparison...

But I gotta say, I wasn't expecting to suddenly find myself here, and to think that there's actually people here too. Heh...I guess this is where everyone's been hiding out this whole time, huh? Not like it really matters anymore, this place already seems somewhat better than the last place I was at...

[There's a slight pause before he speaks again.] Actually, there is something I want to know. Have any of you seen a guy? About this tall [makes a gesture to try indicating the height, albeit somewhat inaccurate from where he's hanging upside-down], wears a locket, and kind of cries a lot? Named "Seto"? It's important that I know if he's here or not. If he is, great, tell me where he is, and if not, then don't bother worrying about it.

[And without much further preamble, he ends it there to wait for replies. But it's also entirely possible to spot him while you're out and about as well...]

Nope. There was barely anyone else around. [He's happy he's here if only because it means he's apparently not "dead" anymore.] Hopefully this place won't be as dull.

Well, sometimes things change or we have special visitors! And sometimes people learn how to do new things all at once.

Really? [Well, at least Grune has his attention right now, lack of specifics otherwise.] What kinda new things?

Oh, like new eres. That was fun!

[And of course he knows what eres are. Everybody does.]

"Eres"? What are those?

Eres are when your fingernails glow so you can do lots of different things.

[Did I mention she's really amazing at explainations?]

What? No way, that sounds way too weird... [He'd glance at his own hands to check his own nails (or lack of them) except that he's wearing gloves.] Why would something like that even happen?

Well, sometimes it's for when you want to protect someone.

[She knows that, at least.]

Huh? [sob he doesn't get it...] How would "glowing fingernails" be able to help protect someone?

Oh, it's because then you can use your eres.

[She isn't doing this on purpose, honest.]

Ugh, you're not making a whole lot of sense here...

[But she makes sense to her....]

[Well it doesn't to us and that's what matters.]

Oh. Why not?

This whole business with "eres" is way too confusing and I still don't get what they're supposed to be--I don't even see how a normal human could understand it. [Then again most humans are idiots so he wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get it either.]

[His confusion is confusing her. This is going so well.]

Hmm.... Maybe I could show you.

[Would that help?]

Can you really? [Yes that would help immensely, but he still has that skeptical tone to his voice, as if he doesn't think you're going to be able to impress him with this.]

Oh, yes, just one moment!

[She picks up her journal and heads outside, leaving it open so he can get a lovely bumpy view of her house. Yup.

She passes through one ridiculously huge garden before leaving her journal propped up at the base of a tree. She then steps backwards until she guesses she's in view.]

Okay, here we go! [She giggles.

...And then she raises her hand in the air, her fingernails shining away. As she gestures, black and purple lights form at her feet and rise into the air.]

[About time, and he's about to say so when...the light show with her nails happens.

...Oooooh.

Okay that is kind of cool how in the world is she doing that 8|]

[BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE.

A moment or so later, the light gathers around her and she says calmly:] Bloody Howling.

[And then a swirling six-foot vortex of deep light appears in front of the journal. When it swallows itself and vanishes, Grune is just going to wander back up to the journal, pick it up, and smile at him.]

There. Is that better?

[What the hell was that...it takes a second before he blinks and answers.]

Oh, so that's what you meant. [At least he does sound a little more impressed now.]

[That was her weakest spell--that's what the hell it was. :Db]

Yes, that's it!

So how'd you do that anyway? 'Cause I'm pretty sure there weren't any humans that could do stuff like that back where I'm from... [Unless you're not a human which could explain it...]
