[Crow rolls his eyes a little.]

I'm not gonna screw it up. Just make sure you can distract him too, okay?

[Which...he wouldn't have agreed if he didn't think Firo could in fact be useful for this, so the feeling's mutual.]

Of course I can. I don't take a chance if I don't think it'll work.

[He motions for Crow to follow him as he starts walking.]

C'mon, his street's his way. At least, the one I've seen him on.

Then let's go already! Tally-ho!

[~~He saw that word in a book somewhere and thought it looked cool, don't ask.~~ Crow will follow Firo, falling into step behind him. Hopefully the rich guy happens to be out and about today--he'd hate to have to wait around only for nothing to happen...]

You're so weird...

[He shakes his head, but he's smiling when he says it. He leads them down the street, pausing to look around after they've gone a little ways from where they met up.]

Here should be good. We should have about... ten minutes, I think.

[Not as weird as you, Firo...I mean uh--]

Got any ideas about how you want to distract the guy?

[He shrugs, a blank look on his face.]

I was thinkin' I was just gonna make it up as I go along...

[He has an idea and nearly a whole script cooked up, actually, but he wants to see if he can get a reaction out of Crow.]

Seriously? You're just gonna wing it?

[Firo, we actually expected better of you--"making it up as you go along" is practically our thing.]

I'm kidding. I thought I'd ask him if he's seen my cat anywhere--if he's too busy tryin' to remember what he's seen, then he shouldn't be thinkin' about his wallet, right?

[He just won't mention that he's never actually tested that. It seems like it should work...]

Oh...yeah, I guess that could work. Especially if you act like this cat means a lot to you and such.

[People always feel bad about a person's missing pets, right? Though hopefully the guy doesn't hate cats or something and would be willing to stand still long enough to remember a fake cat.]

Yeah. So if he's not that bad a guy, he'll be distracted 'cause he wants to help. And if he isn't so nice, at least it means he won't be too suspicious about why I'm pesterin' him so much.

[He grins.]

See? I actually thought about it.

How're you gonna do your part?

[Oh good, you actually did have a plan. Though Crow can't help but reply a little sarcastically.]

Oh, I dunno, maybe I'll just make it up as I go along for my part...

[He does his best to look annoyed, though he's fighting off a smile.]

Come on, knock it off!

[Hehehe, okay, he's in a good enough mood to let it slide. In fact, maybe it can't hurt to hear your opinion on this too.]

...But alright, what do you think for this time? The "walking by and accidentally bumping into them while they were distracted talking to you" routine, or just sneaking up on them from behind to take it?

[He's surprised that Crow cares for his input, but he does his best not to show it beyond a quick blink. Crow poses a good question; either one could work, but both have their risks.]

The first one usually works... but he might realize something's up. Do you think you can be sneaky enough?

[But then if he gets noticed there's really no excuse for them; they'll be caught red-handed.]

[Crow grins at that.]

Of course! He'll never even see me coming. [Heck, he practically snuck up on Seto once so quietly that Seto didn't even realize he was there until he turned back around. ~~Of course he doesn't remember that event right this second but ssshhh~~]

[He smiles back.]

I knew it. You ready? I think he'll be around soon, if he keeps to his schedule. He's almost like clockwork.

[An admirable quality in a businessman, probably; even more admirable in a target for robbery.]

Yeah, I'm ready. [heh] This should be interesting.

[Crow even moves away a little to get into position, so that when he does make his entrance to sneak up to the guy, the guy won't notice him approaching from behind when Firo goes to talk to him. They just have to wait for their mark to show...]

Sure will be.

[Firo walks off a few paces from Crow. As he's getting into the act of searching for his poor lost kitty, a rather average looking middle-aged man in a suit is coming up the street.

Firo's pretty good at looking innocent even when he's not trying. Now, he trots up to the man looking his most innocuous and starts spilling the story.

In a way, it's a shame that the guy's nice enough to hear out the poor distressed teenager. He's completely distracted for the moment.]

[Gosh, this is no time to start feeling guilty now, whether the guy's nice or not. For a brat who is usually rather loud when it comes to insulting people, Crow is actually rather stealthy when he puts his mind to it. Once the guy's distracted, Crow sneaks up behind him quietly, careful not to make a sound. Now just comes the hard part--reaching in and taking the wallet out of the pocket without the guy feeling it or noticing.

We hope you're really good at holding his attention, Firo, because Crow's going to go in for the kill now...]

[To avoid giving his partner away, Firo keeps his eyes fixed on the man in front of him and relies on his peripheral vision to detect Crow's movement. When Crow's close and reaching for the man's pocket, Firo waves his hand in the other direction. Ostensibly it's to show the man all the places he's already tried looking and the direction where the poor kitty's home is, but it succeeds in sending the baffled man's attention far away from Crow.

It'll only completely divert the man's attention for a few moments, but that should be long enough for Crow to spirit away the wallet.]

[Good thinking, Firo. Crow manages to lift the wallet off the poor guy, (giving a slight wave to indicate that he got it) and then proceeds to back away as quickly and quietly as possible. He's doing his best to keep his eye on his feet to make sure he doesn't actually trip over anything at first, before turning around and trying to quickly sneak away before the guy thinks to turn around and notice him in the vicinity...

...and almost trips over an actual cat that darts out from a side street, but he manages to just barely side-step it to try to hide around that corner that the cat came from. ~~You did not see any moments of near-klutziness okay~~]

[Firo does his best to suppress a small smile when he sees Crow's wave. Their mission's done, now they just have to get away...

He jumps when he sees Crow stumble, and as the man follows Firo's line of sight, he worries that he may have ruined the whole plan. Groping for an excuse, he points to the cat, exclaiming that it's his. An excuse made for his sudden exit, he dashes off after the cat, calling out a thank you to their unfortunate victim.

He follows the cat until he's out of the man's sight, then he waits to see if Crow'll come by. If he doesn't after a few minutes, he'll go out and try to find him. Hopefully the guy will be gone by then.]

[Well we haven't seen the guy here where we're hiding, so hopefully the coast should be clear. Crow can be found around a corner further up the street from where they had found that guy, muttering something about "stupid cats" when he notices Firo. He holds up the wallet with a slight grin.]

Told'ya that I'd be able to get it.

[Firo grins and walks over to him.]

You know, I had my doubts for a while...

[He's joking, of course. He gestures to the wallet.]

Open it up. Let's see how much we got.

[He rolls his eyes at the jab, but grins all the same.]

Yeah, alright. [Opening up the wallet is a go!] There's some business cards and a receipt for something, plus some cash... [But how much money do you think we've got here that could be divided up between us?]
