[Hello everyone! We hope you've been having a good day, that things are going well for you, and that you don't care about the kid that suddenly jumps down from the roof near you without any warning. Because that's exactly what Crow is doing as we speak: all day he's been climbing up onto the roofs of different small houses or trees, and then jumping down, trying to get the wings to work. You see, Crow is restless, and when he's restless, he tends to do...well, stupid things sometimes.

Of course the wings don't work though and he plummets like a stone, but luckily lands right on his feet just fine in most cases, or even if he doesn't land so gracefully, he gets right back up and walks it off. Eventually though he seems to have gotten frustrated.]

What's the point of having wings if they don't even let you fly!?

[If you're going to approach him, be careful about having anything shiny on your person when you do: Crow sometimes has a habit of taking things that don't belong to him as well. ((ooc: Don't worry though, you will get your stuff back if he actually tries to take anything.))]

[Success! Firo doesn't notice his pocket getting lighter and assumes Crow's movements are just a show of his displeasure.]

Hey, it's not their problem. You might be outta luck unless you can find somebody really nice or really careless.

[Which reinforces what Crow was saying earlier about having to practice what he could practice, but Firo decides not to come out and agree just yet.]

[tomodachi]

[He stares at you intently for a moment before he then lets the conversation drop for now.]

Fine, whatever. Anyway, weren't we supposed to be goin' somewhere right now or are we just gonna stand around and keep talking? [They were going to the library, right?]

[immamartillo]

[He sighs, resigning himself to dealing with Crow's odd behavior, and nods.]

The library. You still wanna see those movies, right? A future pirate's gotta do some research.

[He manages not to laugh as he says the last part.]

[tomodachi]

[...Firo didn't catch on? Well that gives him more reason to grin again.]

Well what are waiting for, let's get going already! [ONWARD, SILLY HUMAN! LEAD US HEAD TO THE LIBRARY!]

[immamartillo]

All right, all right, don't be so impatient.

[Starting to walk, he shakes his head, but grins. He doesn't entirely miss the irony in him being the one to tell someone to be patient.]

[tomodachi]

I'm not being impatient, you're just being slow...

[Normally he'd just cartwheel right on past you but as it is...he's maybe a little concerned that our stolen change might fall out if we're not careful so for now you get "let's tease and gripe at Firo while we're walking" instead.]

[immamartillo]

And you're bein' a pain. We're almost there, you don't hafta wait for me if you're in such a hurry.

[tomodachi]

[he huffs, but there's not really any anger to it]

You should be grateful that I'm even giving you the luxury of my company rather than just leaving you here in the dust!

[immamartillo]

[He laughs teasingly.]

Trust me, that's not a luxury I'd be seekin' out any time soon.

[Still, he does quicken his pace as he points to the building they're approaching.]

It's right there.

[tomodachi]

Wh--oh! [So it is. And then he's rushing past Firo to go over to the building, pulling the door open--someone's eager.]

Then get over here already and show us where they keep the movies! [Crow lower your voice this is a library...]

[immamartillo]

[He shakes his head as he catches up to Crow and enters the library.]

Follow me. And keep quiet, okay? You're not supposed to yell in the library.

[How much do you want to bet Firo used to yell in the library when he was a kid?]

[tomodachi]

[All the stolen change in our pocket--I mean uh.]

Huh? Why? Is there some kind of rule against it?

[and if there is, he'll likely disregard it anyway]

[immamartillo]

Yeah, in most libraries people want some peace and quiet while they read. You can get thrown out if you're too loud, and then we'll hafta leave empty-handed.

[He doesn't know if there's an official Luceti librarian, but hopefully the threat will work anyway.]

[tomodachi]

Oh yeah? I'd love to see them try to throw me out...

[Crow no we didn't come here to cause trouble--maybe it would be better to steer him towards the movies before he does anything that could get people in here to actually try to throw them out...]

[immamartillo]

[He shakes his head; he was a brat in his youth (and he still is) but over time at least he learned to behave around books. It's Luck's fault, mostly.

Of course, that doesn't stop him from raising his voice in sheer frustration as he picks up his pace heading toward the movie section.]

I'd throw you out myself!

[tomodachi]

[Pfffthahaha] As if! There's no way you could throw me out--and besides with how loud you're being now too, you'll probably get thrown outta here before I do!

[SO BE QUIET FIRO YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO SET AN EXAMPLE FOR THE KIDS]

[immamartillo]

Yes, I could-!

[Crow's point makes him realize just how loud he's being, and he shuts up.

Flushing, he whispers:]

Fine! Just be quiet and follow me, okay?

[tomodachi]

Right, sure you could...

[He's still laughing at him a little, but Crow does at least finally start to quiet down some as he follows Firo. Onward to the promised land of pirate movies!]

[immamartillo]

[Firo stomps his foot and is about to insist that he definitely could--he's a Martillo Family capo, for Pete's sake--but bites his tongue just in time to keep himself from shouting. He settles for a low hiss.]

Just--just hurry up!

[He practically jogs past the next few shelves, and his speed nearly propels him past their goal before he comes to an abrupt stop. Flinging his arm out, he gestures to the shelf.]

They're right here, okay?

[tomodachi]

Huh? [Screeches to a halt in his walking as he turns to look at the indicated shelf.] These things are movies?

[Taking one or two off the shelves to turn over in his hands. Judging from how intently he's looking at them, it's probable he really might not have seen things like these before until now...] Huh...

[immamartillo]

[The formats for some of them--VHS and DVDs--looked strange to him when he first saw them too. His reaction was similar to Crow's, not that he'll admit it.]

Pretty neat, huh? You can watch 'em on one of those tv's they've got around here.

[tomodachi]

So...you put these into a "tv" and then you can watch it? [Oooh. For a second there he was starting to wonder what was so great about these discs or blocks of plastic and film.]

Which one of these have pirates in them? [Wait, here's "Treasure Island", that's one of the ones you mentioned before that had pirates right? Are there any others?]

[immamartillo]

Yeah, it's not hard at all.

[He moves closer to the shelf to start looking through the movies.]

Looks like you found "Treasure Island"...

[He picks one off the shelf and holds it out to Crow.]

Here's "Peter Pan." This is the version where I'm from, but they've got some newer lookin' ones here.

[Crow takes the offered movie with a free hand to look it over.]

Is there a big difference between them? [The version you handed us and the newer looking ones, he means.]

[immamartillo]

No, just the actors, I think.

[And the later ones are somewhat less cheesy and are better done.

He pokes at the movies again, coming away with another old movie that he holds up for Crow to see.]

Huh, "Cold Steel." I remember when this came out, but I never actually saw it. That musta' been more than ten years ago. Wanna take this one too?
