[Hello everyone! We hope you've been having a good day, that things are going well for you, and that you don't care about the kid that suddenly jumps down from the roof near you without any warning. Because that's exactly what Crow is doing as we speak: all day he's been climbing up onto the roofs of different small houses or trees, and then jumping down, trying to get the wings to work. You see, Crow is restless, and when he's restless, he tends to do...well, stupid things sometimes.

Of course the wings don't work though and he plummets like a stone, but luckily lands right on his feet just fine in most cases, or even if he doesn't land so gracefully, he gets right back up and walks it off. Eventually though he seems to have gotten frustrated.]

What's the point of having wings if they don't even let you fly!?

[If you're going to approach him, be careful about having anything shiny on your person when you do: Crow sometimes has a habit of taking things that don't belong to him as well. ((ooc: Don't worry though, you will get your stuff back if he actually tries to take anything.))]

[He may only know vague things like that because of watching birds flying and things he might have read about actual birds...]

Well duh. I did put some thought into it--that's how I figured that you gotta jump from somewhere high up to practice and get them to work. [Swing and a miss.]

That's right... Birds do get kicked outta the nest to learn, don't they?

[Admittedly, part of the reason he sounds so surprised that Crow thought about this is that Firo probably would not have devoted the same thought.]

So that's how you get started, but how do you land?

[tomodachi]

[Momentarily giving Firo a look like he thinks you're being dumb again.]

...You land on your feet, obviously. [Obviously???]

[immamartillo]

[He shakes his head impatiently.]

I know that's what you try to do, but it's gotta be harder than that! You don't land on your feet every time you fall.

[tomodachi]

Well yeah, not at first, but that's why "practice makes great", so I'm good enough to land on my feet by now.

[Don't you mean "practice makes perfect", Crow...]

[immamartillo]

[Firo laughs and ignores the answer to his question in favor of being snarky.]

Practice makes "great"? So then you've given up on bein' perfect?

[tomodachi]

Huh? [He looks confused for a second, but then he's quick to try to cover it up.]

No way, I'm already perfect as it is, but more practice just makes you even more great! [...Yeah, sure Crow.]

[immamartillo]

You're perfect. Sure. That's why you're still workin' at this, huh?

[Come on, you try and do better, Firo.]

[tomodachi]

Well I don't see you trying to do any better.

[That's because he's not stupid enough to throw himself off a building, Crow...]

[immamartillo]

Unlike you, I don't have time to waste tryin' to be the best at jumpin' off roofs.

[tomodachi]

"Don't have time to waste?" You're kidding, right? What could you possibly have to do that takes up more time than this?

[immamartillo]

...Well, I...

[He has no answer; one of his big complaints about Luceti is that he has hardly anything to do.]

...I just mean that jumpin' off roofs isn't gonna help me get anything done, so it's a waste of time.

[That's not what he said at all, and he knows it.]

[See this look? He knows you have no legitimate answer.]

No it's not--it's better than doing nothing around here.

[immamartillo]

[Firo sees that look and glances off to the side rather than maintain eye contact.]

You could find somethin' else to do. Like read a book, watch a movie, stuff like that.

"Movie"? [He's pronouncing it kinda funny] What's that?

[No he's not kidding--living in the apocalypse kinda makes it hard to watch movies.]

[immamartillo]

[Firo blinks.]

No way... You've been here this long and you still haven't seen any?

[He realizes they may not have been accessible in Crow's world, but he can't imagine nobody in Luceti has told Crow about them.

He shakes his head.]

You gotta see one.

[tomodachi]

[Well Crow's not exactly the sociable type--unless Seto tells him about stuff like that or reading on his own to find out what they are, he has no way of knowing.]

Why?

[immamartillo]

[He spreads his arms out wildly.]

Because they're great! It's like a book all acted out on screen, or a play you can keep watchin' over and over and it'll still be the same.

[tomodachi]

Really? [Surprisingly, you had him at "book acted out on screen"--even though Crow doesn't look like it, he actually likes reading books when they were interesting, like his ones about pirates.]

Well where do they keep them at? Are they at the--what was it, the "library" too?

[immamartillo]

[He takes a moment to mull that over; he hadn't expected Crow to be interested.]

I think there's some in the library. People have gotten some from their worlds, too.

[He scratches his head thoughtfully. With so many movies to pick from, he can't think of which one Crow should experience first.]

What kinda stuff do you like? There's all kinds a' movies out there.

[tomodachi]

...Do they have ones about pirates?

[immamartillo]

There are tons of movies about pirates, they've gotta have some. I think I saw Treasure Island somewhere around here. There some that aren't even out where I'm from.

[tomodachi]

[omg yesss look at him he's so excited]

Then what are we waiting for? Show me these movies they've got!

[immamartillo]

All right, let's go!

[He turns to start walking in the direction of the library, a new spring in his step. Crow not jumping off the roof again would be good enough to make Firo happy; his excitement to see a movie has Firo overjoyed.

He's a dork, when it all comes down to it.]

Some of the movies here even have color, it's amazing!

[tomodachi]

[Crow has almost forgotten about his flying attempts and being a general annoyance around Firo in his excitement about pirate stuff.]

Huh? Why wouldn't they have color normally?
